Ballygawley Veterinary Clinic was started up by a single vet, Mr Dan Gormley. He worked from his house originally, until he acquired our practice in the mid 1940’s. it was then taken over in January 2000 by Sean O’Neill and Brian Keown who were colleagues at UCD.
In 2004 they acquired a sub branch in Pomeroy which is currently still part of the business. In March 2018 we rebranded to BVC Farm Vets. In September 2020, during COVID we opened a third branch in Tamnamore called Blackwater.
Our current CD is Brian Keown MRCVS, he is supported by 5 full time vets and 4 part time vets as well as 15 admin staff (full time and part time). All admin staff are either SQP qualified or in training for this qualification.
The majority of our staff have been with us for many years and look forward to welcoming you into our practice.
